On Thursday 29th May, Shoreditch cocktail bar Lowcountry will host its next Battle of the Barrels. In this installment, Tom Smyth (Milroy’s and 3 Greek Street) and Lowcountry’s co-founder Ryan Sheehan will go head-to-head to create a whiskey-based cocktail, with the winner decided by public ballot.
Tickets are £25pp, including two cocktails and a choice of bar snacks: the Special Occasion Burger with American cheese and whiskey sauce or Popcorn Chicken with house ranch, both served with seaweed salted fries.
Drinks will be served blind for impartial voting, with the winner earning top spot on the bar’s signature menu, currently occupied by Lowcountry’s After Delight created for the last BoB, featuring rose absinthe, mint-infused crème de cacao, chocolate bitters and bourbon – garnished with an After Eight Turkish delight.
