Raise a tot to Black Tot Day on the Wood’s Navy Rum boat
All aboard the Wood’s Navy Rum Boat at Granary Square on 31st July, and celebrate the 48th anniversary of Black Tot Day in true sailor-style. To commemorate the last day the Royal Navy issued sailors with a daily rum ration, Wood’s Navy Rum and Ladies & Gentlemen bar will be serving up free Greenheart Grog cocktails on-board their ship to the first 48 guests to the boat, as well as one complimentary boat tour on the day to one lucky seafarer.
Wood’s and Ladies & Gentlemen bar will sail their barge through the canals of London for a summer of exploration, music, boat tours and Wood’s rum cocktails, and on Black Tot Day you can enjoy this all for free! Themed on the traditional ‘grog’ concoction invented for sailors in 1740 to mix their daily ‘tot’ of rum, seafarers will also enjoy complimentary Greenheart Grog cocktails for the occasion. A simple and refreshing blend of Wood’s Navy Rum, pink grapefruit juice, lime, honey and ginger beer, the grog’s ‘greenheart’ pays tribute to the 250-year old Versailles still constructed from greenheart wood and used in the making of Wood’s Navy Rum.
Miss the celebrations on Black Tot Day? Never fear, the boat will be moored at
Granary Square until 22nd August and East End canal-side bar Number 90 from 23rd – 27th August in time for carnival weekend. For further details about tickets and timings
